The purpose of this site is to form an online support group for homeowners and renters within the Standard Pacific communities that have Chinese Drywall. Specifically, Julia Gardens in Coconut Creek, FL, but really, for anyone that has this problem.
I myself am a homeowner in Julia Gardens that is suffering from Chinese Drywall. I'm hoping that together we can all help each other to move past this issue and get on with our lives. Please post your own story to share. You are welcomed to post anonymously.
I'll also be posting information on other homeowners that have had the same issue and what they've been doing.
Thank you and good luck!
I've got it...no house value, my wife has had nose bleeds; not many, but she has never had them. I have more of a cronic cough than I have ever had. Who do I see at Bank of America to stop paying my mortgage on a defective product that they represent? What other options are there?

Hello John,
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming forward. I will be posting another article on how to contact your mortgage company for a Special Forbearance that is based on my own experience through Bank of America. Please check back in a couple of ours on the main page.
Thank you.
We also own the house in Julia Gardens. We have moved our from the house and currently paying rent and mortgage. The behavior of Standard Pacific is criminal. We all reported our problem to them but so far they are still” working on the protocol how to address this situation”. I want them to take our house back because this house is not suitable for habitation. This house is a toxic gas chamber and a fire trap. I am blaming our government for letting them get away with this. There are so many laws according to which they have to remediate the reported problems but so far they have done nothing. If you notice even media is giving them a break. You can hear about other builders but not so much about these greedy bastards that charged us ridiculous high sale prices and collect hefty profits but now when it’s their time to pay they have no money. I am really glad for what you did when you joined the teleconference and asked them about Chinese drywall situation. I just wish that it was pick up by more media. May be we should get some TV station involve. We cannot let this problem to be swept under the rug and be forgotten. We have to keep sending letters of complains everywhere we can. We contacted our senators and congressmen twice already. We sent the complain to every possible agency that have something to do with this problem. We even set the letter to our president. So far the only person who answered was congressman Wexler.
ReplyDeleteWe all should have to get together and find a way how to make Standard Pacific buy our houses back and pay us for all related damages. We kind of don’t want to join a class action law suite because that can drag for ever and the only person that would profit from it would be the lawyer. We simply want to find a way how to get all our money back.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I agree that we need to organize ourselves and get more done toward Standard Pacific. I just had an interview this morning with the Palm Beach Post.
And I sent the press release I wrote to a whole host of media outlets. I do need more help from more homeowners to come out with their stories. I know it's tough, but if we don't help each other, they'll just run us over. It's a David vs. Goliath story. I want us to win this one!
I'm going to post a link to an email on the site where you can contact me. Please do so we can talk further on what we can do. Thank you!
Ok, there is now a contact form at the bottom of each page. It will send me a private email that will NOT be posted on the website. If you wish to contact me to talk more about how we can all help each other, please use this form.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I wanted to first say that I think this site is tremendous and we need to use this great tool to our advantage. Second, I will be posting as much as I can on here going forward, but had one bit of information I wanted to share. Please find included below the CFO's email of which I was able to obtain from their press release. I promise that he won't answer, but I am sure that he will start to get the message once he begins to receive hundreds of these letters. I am working on trying to obtain the general counsel's as well as CEOs, though I am sure after a couple tries I can deduce it based on the structure of their email addresses. Be careful what you say in the emails so as to avoid anything they could use against you in a paper trail, but I think this is at least worth the effort. Thanks.

that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteBy extension, then Ken Campbell, CEO's email is: kcampbell@stanpac.com and the General Counsel John Babel is jbabel@stanpac.com I guess it's worth a try!
Also, I found this tool online where you can send anonymous emails... http://www.sendanonymousemail.net/
Has anyone purchased Conan O'Brien Tickets from the website http://conan-obrien-tickets.doitbigtickets.com/
ReplyDeletehello, today i checked out julia gardens since im planning to buy a house. i entered property 6907 and the odor was so strong. my Realtor and i suspected it was chinese drywall and we asked a neighbor that confirmed it was. i wanted to know how is the problem going for you, if the government gave any help and also for new buyers for that property. i loved the house but its obviously inhabitable.
